This year the schools which have achieved Artsmark are: Beverley High School, Cherry Burton C of E Voluntary Controlled Primary School, Longcroft School – a Performing Arts College, Tickton C of E Voluntary Controlled Primary School and St John of Beverley RC Primary School. The award is valid for three years.

Graham said: “I am delighted all these schools have achieved the award. It shows their commitment to providing their pupils with the best possible access to the arts.

“Artsmark not only benefits school pupils, but allows for the professional development of staff which is something I am always keen to promote.”

Every school awarded an Artsmark has completed a thorough audit of its arts provision and offers a broad range of arts opportunities for their students in teaching time, out-of-school hours and through partnerships with artist and arts organisations.
