MP for Beverley and Holderness, Graham Stuart, today congratulated the latest member of the Beverley Town Council.
Cllr Dominic Peacock will represent the Minster South Ward after a by-election was held on Thursday, February 4.
Graham said: “I am delighted Dominic has taken this ward. He was a fine candidate and he will be a hard working member of the town council – the residents of the Minster South Ward are very lucky.”
Dominic’s election now means there are four Conservative members of the town council.
The results for the by-election, called after another councillor moved out of the area, were:
Dack (Green) 182
Foot (Lib Dem) 165
McGrath (Labour) 149
Peacock (Con) 322
The turnout was 17.5 per cent.
