Humber Education Business Forum

EBP logoFriday, October 8 saw the success of the first joint Hull and East Riding Education Business Forum (EBF)held in Willerby .

The EBF, organised by Helen Wilson of the Humber Education Business Partnership (EBP), was pleased to secure guest speaker Graham Stuart, MP for Beverley and Holderness and Chair of the House of Commons Education Select Committee.

Graham talked about his role and education reform and answered a series of questions from the floor.

When asked about work experience Graham said: “The government believes in the power and importance of work experience.”

He went on to say the Government is committed to supporting apprenticeships in the future.

Graham proved a great conversation stimulator and all delegates left with some thought provoking messages from the chair of the Education Select Committee.

The Humber EBP is as ever committed to ensuring young people are equipped to join tomorrow’s workforce and will continue to work in partnership with schools, colleges and business to develop strong education business links across the Humber sub-region.
