On Saturday 15th September the Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness, Graham Stuart officially opened the newly refurbished Preston Community Hall.

Graham said, “I was delighted to be invited to officially cut the ribbon at the opening of the hall and offer my congratulations to the hall committee, Preston Parish Council and local residents who have worked tirelessly for almost two years to update their hall and provide a facility fit for the future.

“It is marvellous to see communities pulling together to address their own needs and aspirations which is something that has been championed by the Prime Minister through his nationwide Big Society campaign.”

Chair of Preston Community Hall’s Management Committee, Alison Acey said, “The refurbishment of our Community Hall gives the residents of Preston a Hall that they can be proud of and allows residents to organise and take part in the many functions planned for the future. The refurbishment from planning to completion has taken some 20 months but has ensured a Hall that will be serving the people of Preston for many years to come”.
