Local MP supports Beverley Food Festival

Graham Stuart, MP for Beverley and Holderness, is encouraging people to turn out for the seventh annual Food Festival to be held on Sunday 7th October at Beverley’s Saturday Market Place from 9am until 4pm.

With around a hundred local food producers present, the event is now the largest in the region and attracted 15,000 people last year. BBC Look North presenter Peter Levy will officially open the day at 9.30am.

There will be a huge variety of produce on offer as well as a cookery theatre marquee, where local chefs will demonstrate their skills and share  their expertise.

The event is being staged by Beverley Town Council in association with the town’s Local Food project ‘From Field to Table’.

Graham said, “The Food Festival is a great chance to celebrate fantastic produce direct from our doorstep. It’s also a valuable opportunity for small businesses to promote their products directly to consumers and to network with other local food producers.”
