Graham is backing a call for evidence from the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership’s Skills Commission.
Graham said “The Humber Local Enterprise Partnership is carrying out a major piece of work looking at the future skills-needs of the local economy and how schools, colleges and universities can help to provide the workforce businesses need. Any employer or training provider can submit information to the enquiry. This is a fantastic opportunity to tell the LEP about the workforce you need for your business.
“I urge businesses of all sizes and from all sectors to submit information so that we have a representative view of the skills we need across the region for the future.”
“This evidence will also increase the work prospects of our young people by ensuring that they are equipped with the skills that employers are looking for, giving them a fair chance in the employment market.
“It is a very simple process to submit your evidence via a short online form on the LEP website http://humberlep.org/2012/10/15/skills-commission-call-for-evidence/. Unfortunately time is tight as all evidence must be submitted by Wednesday 31st October.”
