Graham took part in a Coastal Towns debate. Here is his speech in full: “It is a pleasure to take part in the debate. I congratulate my hon. Friend Mark Simmonds on doing so much to highlight the needs and interests of coastal towns by producing the report “No Longer the End of the Line” and [...] Graham Stuart, MP for Beverley and Holderness, is asking for HM Treasury to throw a life-line to amusements arcades in Hornsea and Withernsea. Arcade owners have contacted Graham following the emergency budget in which it was announced VAT would rise to 20%. This comes on top of an already difficult period for arcades as they have [...] With the polling stations open Graham Stuart spent election day touring the Beverley and Holderness constituency. Travelling from Newbald in the West to Middleton-on-the-Wolds, Cherry Burton, Leven, Tickton, Routh, Hornsea, Mappleton, Aldbrough, Withernsea, Easington, Welwick, Patrington, Ottringham, Hedon and finally back to Beverley. Despite much of Britain suffering as a result of the Icelandic volcano ash cloud, Graham Stuart, the Conservative Beverley and Holderness candidate, was today still out campaigning. Putting up campaign posters, attending a health meeting in Hornsea and holding a street surgery in Beverley were all on the agenda for today. Graham Stuart MP has welcomed news tourist information will again be available in Hornsea. Following the closure last year of the town’s tourist information centre, it has been announced it is set to reopen this summer within the Hornsea Museum. Following a meeting with the owners of an amusement arcade in Hornsea, the MP for Beverley and Holderness Graham Stuart, has called for a revitalisation of the tourist industry along the coast. Graham has invited Tobias Ellwood, Shadow Minister, Culture, Media and Sport to come to the area and meet business owners struggling to stay afloat [...] Edith Scarth [View with PicLens] Family, friends and fellow volunteers gathered to honour Edith Scarth at a special ceremony organised by Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart on Tuesday.
