Proxy and postal voting deadlines

A quick reminder to everyone who is not going to be in the country on May 6 – or is stranded abroad under the Icelandic ash cloud – that postal voting forms have to be back with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council by 5pm on Tuesday April 20.

Graham’s election campaign unaffected by volcanic ash

Despite much of Britain suffering as a result of the Icelandic volcano ash cloud, Graham Stuart, the Conservative Beverley and Holderness candidate, was today still out campaigning.

Council cash should go to ‘frontline’ services

Graham Stuart MP is asking the East Riding of Yorkshire Council to think again about a £364,000 discretionary payment to out-going corporate resources director Sue Lockwood.

A recent meeting of the council cabinet supported the bonus payment to her pension as part of an early retirement package.
