Graham tours constituency to meet voters

With the polling stations open Graham Stuart spent election day touring the Beverley and Holderness constituency.

Travelling from Newbald in the West to Middleton-on-the-Wolds, Cherry Burton, Leven, Tickton, Routh, Hornsea, Mappleton, Aldbrough,  Withernsea, Easington, Welwick, Patrington, Ottringham, Hedon and finally back to Beverley.

The iconic Beverley Minster is to be the setting for a political debate ahead of the General Election.

 Three political candidates will take to the stage to answer questions on their party policies at the hustings event due to take place on Monday April 26.

New town councillor congratulated

Cllr Dominic Peacock will represent the Minster South Ward after a by-election was held on Thursday, February 4.

Memorial Hall fund raising supported

Graham Stuart MP bas backed calls for a major fund raising drive to pay for the transformation of Beverley’s Memorial Hall.

Council planners last week approved a £1.4 million overhaul of the building which will see the removal of the 1950s extension and the reorientation of the building to face Champney Gardens.
