Graham Stuart, MP for Beverley and Holderness and Chairman of the Education Select Committee, welcomed yesterday’s publication of the Government’s youth strategy. The strategy, Positive for Youth, outlines the Government’s efforts to coordinate services for young people age 13-19 across multiple agencies and organisations. The announcement follows the Education Select Committee’s report on services for young people, [...] Graham Stuart today said that the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) report on education funding underlines, rather than undermines, the need for change in the way England funds schools. The IFS report says that unless school funding is reformed it could become less transparent and increasingly unrelated to educational needs.
