Green energy jobs on the horizon

Graham Stuart, MP for Beverley and Holderness has responded to an announcement by wind turbine maker Siemens that Hull had been selected as the preferred location for its UK manufacturing operations.

Finally a ‘wind farm too far’ appeal is rejected

Beverley and Holderness MP, Graham Stuart today said he was delighted a planned wind farm in the constituency had been refused.

 Energie Kontor had wanted to build three giant turbines at Monkwith, just north of Withernsea.

But, after the plans were rejected by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, the developers took the matter to appeal.

Graham submits evidence opposed to Monkwith wind farm

Graham Stuart, MP for Beverley and Holderness wrote:

“Unfortunately I am unable to attend this appeal hearing in person and would like to submit this document.

“In March this year I spoke at another planning appeal. I gave evidence against a planned wind farm at Roos – in the same parish as the above application.
