Graham Stuart MP visits Beverley Delivery Office during the busy festive period

Today Beverley and Holderness MP Graham Stuart visited the Royal Mail’s Delivery Office in Beverley. During the visit Graham met with the hard-working staff and was shown around the premises by Manager Allan Sugden.

After the visit Graham commented: “I was pleased to visit the Beverley Delivery Office today and meet the local staff who help deliver a great Christmas across our area.

“The Royal Mail staff work hard all year round, but in my early morning visit today I saw first-hand how much busier they are during the Christmas period; they really do go into overdrive.

“I was thoroughly impressed by the efficient processes they use to ensure all of our mail and packages are delivered on-time. It is amazing how thousands of items are processed in a short period of time and made ready for distribution.

“I want to say thank you to Manager Allan Sugden and everyone at Beverley Delivery Office for welcoming me today. It was a treat to see behind the scenes and talk with the staff.

“We should all thank the staff there for the excellent service they provide and come together in wishing them a very Merry Christmas; also that they enjoy a well-deserved rest over the festive period”.

Royal Mail Delivery Sector Manger for Lincolnshire and Humberside Jack Mitchell added: “It was great to have Graham visit us today and for him to see the staff during the busy Christmas period.

“During the visit Graham met with staff members whilst they worked the bustling morning shift and was able to see how we ensure everyone receives their presents in time for Christmas morning.

“I want to thank Graham for taking the time to visit”.
