Graham at NHS Awards 2019

Graham Stuart MP is seeking nominees for this year’s NHS Parliamentary Awards. These awards represent an opportunity for MPs to say thank you, and to celebrate together the work of all NHS staff and those who work alongside them to improve and join up care in their communities.

Nominees for these awards do not need to be working currently within the NHS – these awards are for anyone working for or with the NHS towards the shared goal of delivering health and high-quality care, now and for future generations.

Neither do nominees have to be in frontline or clinical roles. Around 60% of the NHS workforce perform vital but often-unseen roles, ensuring that the NHS is equipped to meet the needs of patients. Many more people support patients in other ways, such as via their local Healthwatch, social enterprises or charities.

In circular letter, Graham Stuart has contacted the Humber, Coast and Vale Integrated Care System, Yorkshire Ambulance Service, Hull University Teaching Hospitals, and the Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, asking them to put forward their best candidates.

This year, there are 10 categories up for nomination. This will include a brand new Covid-19 Response Award, which will recognise those who have designed new approaches to control the spread of infection; introduced new methods to support and care for patients requiring treatment for conditions other than COVID; and have assisted heavily in the roll-out of Covid-19 vaccinations.

Commenting on the awards, Graham Stuart, MP for Beverley and Holderness said:

‘I’m looking for outstanding nominees from Beverly and Holderness who have innovated, impressed, and made a real difference to how the health and care system provides care for its patients. Nominees could be an individual, a team, or an entire organisation.’

The nomination process is open from Wednesday 2nd March 2022 until midnight, Wednesday 6th April 2022.  To submit a nomination suggestion, please got to https://www.england.nhs.uk/nhs-parliamentary-awards/how-to-nominate/, complete the forms on the website, and send them to grahamstuartmp@parliament.uk before the nomination window closes.
