Have your say on East Riding CCG's devastating plans for urgent care

Friday, 28 October, 2016

East Riding Clinical Commissioning Group is running an important consultation on how it delivers urgent care locally.  Among other proposals the CCG plans to close the Minor Injuries Units (MIUs) at Hornsea Hospital and Withernsea Hospital, as well as to remove all the community beds from Withernsea.  The MIU at Beverley is also under threat.

Full details are available here: http://www.eastridingofyorkshireccg.nhs.uk/data/uploads/ucreview/urgent-care-consultation-document-shaping-a-healthy-future.pdf.

Graham believes the closure of the MIUs and the loss of beds would have a serious negative impact on his constituents and force them to make unacceptably long journeys. He is seeking to rally maximum community support to try to prevent this.  He is encouraging as many residents as possible – hopefully thousands – to write to the consultation’s freepost address to object.  If we want to save our hospitals we have to act now.

This is YOUR chance to have YOUR say on this vital issue before it’s too late.  There are two letters below, the first for people living in and around Hornsea and Withernsea, the second for people living in or near Beverley.

Please copy and paste the relevant letter in the link below into a clean document and, having signed it and added your name and address, send it to the freepost address advertised, or email ERYCCG.Contactus@nhs.net. You are obviously very welcome to add any additional points you want to raise as part of your response.
