Graham met campaigners against the proliferation of telegraph poles to deliver broadband competition to KCOM at one of his regular street surgeries in Beverley. 

After months of meetings in Beverley, Hedon and Parliament, Graham Stuart MP is very pleased that KCOM has taken the first step towards sharing its broadband infrastructure to reduce the number of telegraph poles in Beverley and Holderness.

Graham has pressed Cllr Anne Handley, Leader of East Riding Council, to sign up to a Voluntary Best Practice Charter with KCOM, Connexin and MS3. 

This comes following months of unease with broadband poles being erected by MS3 and Connexin under permitted development. 

Local MP Graham Stuart has written to Dame Andrea Leadsom MP, Minister for Primary Care, to request that a Mobile Dental Van comes to Withernsea. 

Graham will press Julia Lopez MP in person on 25 March about the serious issue of telegraph poles in Hedon, Preston and Beverley. The poles are being erected in residential areas by internet challenger companies to bring broadband competition to communities presently served solely by KCOM. 

Local MP Graham Stuart has welcomed the boost for workers, businesses and parents that the Chancellor Jeremy Hunt delivered in his Spring Budget yesterday.

Graham has visited some of Beverley’s favourite independent shops, as nominated by the public in his Beverley and Holderness’s Favourite Independent Shops Awards 2023. 

Graham is delighted by responses to his survey about what communities across Beverley and Holderness should do with their share of the transformational £168 Million Local Transport Fund.

Graham has written to Julia Lopez, Minister for Digital Infrastructure, to put the demands of residents forward.
